Bubble.Us is a mind map and brainstorming tool. This would be great for a literature class to create a character list of who is connected to which character and how. It would also work for doing something related to time lines or showing the process of events. I actually made a simple family tree with it. Easy enough for elementary or middle school students to use.
Gliffy is a flowchart. This was a little more complex and took more time. High school, possibly even middle school, students would benefit from this type of tool. They could use it for many of the same things as the mind map, brainstorming tool, but with more detail. I'm sure some of the math teachers would find it useful as well.
